My Story Contine
Since I was young, I longed for freedom and peace—which I ultimately found within God’s creation and His gospel. As both an artist and a pastor, I seek to share nature’s beauty in the context of the Bible to help comfort and heal the viewers.
My paintings consist of two parts: abstraction and realism. The abstract background created with wide strokes and paint dripping represents concepts such as the flow of space and time in which nature resides. On top of the background, I paint realistic objects found in nature—small creatures and objects such as birds, butterflies, fruits, or flowers. At times, I also incorporate realistic water droplets as symbolism for life and the toil of hard work.
Through this narrative created by the interplay of abstraction and realism, I seek to capture and communicate a sense of freedom and peace found in God’s creation. My hope is that the paintings will give a breath of fresh air in our everyday lives and a chance to recover our relationship with God.
